REACH STATEMENT

EUROPEAN UNION REGULATION (EC) 1907/2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH)

Under the regulations W R Day Ltd is neither a manufacturer nor an importer into the EU of chemical substances. REACH defines W R Day Ltd as a "Downstream User" (DU) of chemical related products used in our manufacturing operations and as a "Distributor" (Re-Seller) for those products manufactured by or for W R Day Ltd and sold-on to our distributors and downstream (end) users.

We have worked with our suppliers and they in turn (where applicable) with their suppliers to ensure that manufacturers and importers achieved the 30 November 2008 deadline for pre-registration and consequently we also meet our requirements as a downstream user and distributor.

 If there are subsequent requirements of the REACH legislation that relate to any of our products our policy will be to inform users of the impact. We currently believe this to be unlikely on the basis of what we know today but we won't finally be able to confirm the position until the Commission has reviewed the data submitted by the manufacturers and/or importers during the pre-registration process.

 As of 1^st January 2009 we confirm W R Day Ltd is fully compliant with the REACH requirements of a downstream user and distributor and will keep you informed should our responsibilities change.
